Description

Valentine’s Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls are soft, fluffy rolls filled with a sweet strawberry-cinnamon swirl and topped with a creamy glaze. Romantic, colorful, and indulgent, these rolls are perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Dough

  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Filling

  • ½ cup strawberry jam or strawberry preserves
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extrac

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–7 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add egg and melted butter, mixing well.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead dough for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1½ hours until doubled.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread strawberry jam evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Roll dough tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.
  11. Whisk glaze ingredients together and drizzle over warm rolls before serving
