  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1 (5 oz) can tuna in olive oil or water, drained and flaked
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, olives, and capers. Simmer for 8–10 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in tuna and warm through for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
