  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the red velvet cake mix, 2 eggs, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add in the additional 2 eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the cheesecake mixture.
  5. Spread half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Pour the cheesecake filling over it, then dollop remaining red velvet batter on top.
