Description

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring (gel preferred)
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips

Notes

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs until thick and pale.
  4. Mix in melted butter, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  7. Shape dough into a 12-inch log and place on prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 22–25 minutes until set. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Slice log diagonally into ¾-inch slices.
  10. Arrange slices cut-side down and bake for an additional 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.
  11. Cool completely before serving.
