  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, instant yeast, and salt. Create a well in the center and add warm water and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle approximately half an inch thick. Evenly spread pesto over the surface.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the pesto, then roll the dough tightly from one end to another. Pinch seams closed.
  6. Cut rolled dough into one-inch pieces and arrange them upright in a circular shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
