Description

Nutella Pull Apart Pastry Heart is a stunning, shareable pastry made with flaky dough layered with rich Nutella and shaped into a beautiful heart. Soft, buttery, and irresistibly chocolatey, this dessert is perfect for Valentine’s Day breakfast, brunch, or a romantic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • ½¾ cup Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out both sheets of puff pastry slightly to smooth edges.
  3. Spread Nutella evenly over one sheet of puff pastry.
  4. Place the second sheet on top and gently press together.
  5. Cut the pastry into a large heart shape.
  6. Starting from the center, cut strips outward, leaving the center intact.
  7. Twist each strip twice and lay it flat to create a pull-apart effect.
  8. Whisk egg and milk together and brush over the pastry.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired
