Description

Marbled Pink Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookies are soft, buttery sugar cookies with a beautiful pink marbled effect. Festive, sweet, and eye-catching, these cookies are perfect for Valentine’s Day parties, gifting, or a fun baking project.


Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring (gel preferred)
  • Optional: sanding sugar or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until dough forms.
  6. Divide dough in half and tint one portion with pink food coloring.
  7. Gently twist the plain and pink doughs together to create a marbled effect.
  8. Scoop dough balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  9. Sprinkle with sanding sugar if desired.
  10. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  11. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
