Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup plain Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties about two inches long using wet hands to prevent sticking.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the koftas for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and transfer the koftas to a baking sheet. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  5. While baking, combine Greek yoghurt and lemon juice in a bowl; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve koftas drizzled with yoghurt dressing and garnish with extra herbs if desired.
