Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh mint, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup plain Greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties about two inches long using wet hands to prevent sticking.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the koftas for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and transfer the koftas to a baking sheet. Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
- While baking, combine Greek yoghurt and lemon juice in a bowl; season with salt and pepper.
- Serve koftas drizzled with yoghurt dressing and garnish with extra herbs if desired.
