  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté sliced onions until golden brown and caramelized (about 15 minutes), stirring often.
  4. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and thyme to create the sauce.
  5. Place seasoned chicken in the baking dish. Top with caramelized onions and drizzle sauce over everything.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
