- 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add ground meat and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for five minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer a thin layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, half the ricotta mixture (seasoned with salt and pepper), half the remaining meat sauce, and mozzarella.
- Repeat layers finishing with noodles topped with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
