Tender chicken and al dente pasta are enveloped in a rich, velvety sauce infused with garlic and Parmesan. This dish promises a delightful flavor experience that will keep everyone coming back for seconds. Quick to prepare, it’s an ideal choice for busy weeknights and can easily be customized with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sauté until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth; stir in Italian seasoning and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine sliced chicken and cooked pasta into the skillet, tossing everything together until well-coated in sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan or parsley if desired.
