Description

Chicken Milanese is a classic Italian dish featuring thin, breaded chicken cutlets fried until golden and crispy. Light, crunchy, and flavorful, it’s traditionally served with a fresh lemon squeeze or a simple arugula salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil, for frying
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season chicken cutlets with salt and black pepper.
  2. Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with lemon wedges
